About this Wanderer.
On the first read, my story may seem like everyone else’s these days. A digital-somebody who quit her 9-5 job to create a life where she could work anywhere she wanted, whenever she wanted.
And that’s somewhat true.
Hi, I’m Kate — a digital marketing consultant and freelance copywriter who loves to travel the world. My habit of booking impulsive trips to faraway places encouraged me to create a consulting business that replaced my 9-5. It allows me to work from wherever!
But here’s the thing… I’m not your typical travel blogger.
Despite my tendency to wander at the drop of a hat, I’m not a digital nomad. In fact, I’m way too much of a homebody to not have a home base! I own a home in Atlanta and spend a great deal of time there with our two adorable dogs and cat.
I created Wayward Wander because I believe you can have your cake and eat it too.
I’ve often struggled with the fact that I wanted to be a part of both worlds. I wanted to travel whenever I wanted and have a place to call my own. I wanted to run a successful business and not be a drone and work myself to death.
And then I realized something… who says I can’t?
I’m living proof that you can travel the world while being a homebody, and that you can leave the typical working lifestyle to build your dream business without sacrificing the lifestyle you want.
Which is exactly what Wayward Wander is all about. I’m here to help fellow wanderers feel inspired to travel the world and make their dreams come true. I’m also here to remind entrepreneurs that you can design your dream life, even if you feel stuck in the middle of two dreams.
Wayward Wander is a reflection of me — evolving, exploring, and (hopefully) engaging. This is my place to drop some travel tips, inspire the travel bug in others, and share my knowledge of digital so you can build a business you love, too.
